A few things to look forward to during the summer months in Chester!

Did you know Chester hosts it’s very own wine festival?

Well now you do!  Chester wine festival is set to run between the 20th and 23rd March 2014.
A whole bunch of events are taking place including the historical ‘Civil War Pub Tour’, the ‘Chez Jules’ and the more in depth ‘Full Day Wine School’.

Even if you know everything about wine, we’re sure our Chester Wine Festival will still provide some valuable pointers and of most importantly a good time.  A must see if your in the area.

Cheshire County Show 17th and 18th June 2014

Wow!  It’s said to be the largest 2-day county show in England's Northwest with an attendance of about 80,000 visitors.
What you can expect:  a large equestrian section, farm livestock classes, dog shows, flowers, a superb food hall, cheese, crafts, shoppers mews and country pursuits all in one place.

The show ground is located just off the A556 about one mile west of the M6 at junction 19. There should be signs from here so keep a look out for them.  All parking at the show ground is free which means there’s no excuse to check this one out.

Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre

Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre is a leading theatre producer, there’s no other like it outside of London.
For 2014 season they have a special new adaptation of the childhood classic The Secret Garden and as a season opener Shakespeare's Macbeth!

They have built up a substantial reputation and audience in just four seasons.  I think it’s safe to say this will only increase.

There performance dates are on the 27th June 2014 and the 24th August 2014.

Bolesworth International 12th to 15th June 2014

If you’re looking for a fun family day out in Cheshire this could be it.

The Bolesworth International plays host to world-class equestrian sporting action.  Bolesworth Castle is the fantastic venue for this event, and is just a short drive from Chester.

Over the four long summer days you will have the chance to see some top class horse riding.  If you love everything horse, this is the ultimate excuse for a short break!

Should any of these events catch your eye, consider booking a taxi in Chester.  It could save the hassle of parking and the possible fees.
